RSM McGladrey Names New Chief Business Process & Technology Officer

Bob Gerardi to hold key position on Executive Operating Team

CHARLOTTE, NC – (March 13, 2008) – RSM McGladrey has promoted Robert Gerardi to chief business process and technology officer, effective immediately. He will report directly to Steve Tait, president, as a member of the Executive Operating Team. 

In this newly created role, Gerardi will lead firm-wide business process improvement and technology initiatives focused on driving new levels of efficiency in systems and processes to enhance shareholder value. He will remain based in the firm’s Charlotte, N.C., office.

“Bob’s new position reflects the increased importance of both business process efficiency and technology advancement in the continuation of our profitable growth strategy,” Tait said. “His insight and performance during his tenure have been key contributors to our strategic planning process and operational excellence. We are proud to welcome him as a new member of our Executive Operating Team.”

For the past two years, Gerardi has served as RSM McGladrey’s senior vice president of total quality management, as well as chief of staff for the Corporate Marketing organization.

Prior to joining RSM McGladrey in April 2006, Gerardi worked at Duke Energy, a Fortune 500 company based in Charlotte, N.C., where he led both brand operations and business development efforts aimed at new technology that would provide broadband access via power lines. He also spent eight years in various senior-level marketing, business strategy and product development positions with Xerox and six years as a systems engineering manager with General Electric. 

Gerardi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in product development from Rochester Institute of Technology. He also holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University.
