RSM McGladrey taps Robert Jensen to lead Private Equity Group Practice
RSM McGladrey has named Robert Jensen to lead its national private equity group (PEG) practice, effective Feb. 1. In this newly created position, Jensen will remain based in RSM McGladrey's Chicago office.
Chicago, Ill., January 16, 2007 – RSM McGladrey has named Robert Jensen to lead its national private equity group (PEG) practice, effective Feb. 1. In this newly created position, Jensen will remain based in RSM McGladrey’s Chicago office.
Jensen joined the firm in 1968, and has more than three decades of consulting and industry experience. He was promoted to partner in 1975 and to director of consulting and executive partner responsible for McGladrey & Pullen LLP in 1982. One of the key architects of RSM McGladrey’s growth, Jensen established the firm’s Office of Managing Partner and, as director of mergers and acquisitions, spearheaded the acquisition and integration of 24 firms, representing $350 million in revenue. In addition, he was primarily responsible for the organization of RSM McGladrey’s private equity services. Jensen is currently the director of consulting services for the Great Lakes Economic Unit, and will continue in this role while the search for his replacement is underway.

Jensen is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Management Consultant and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He is also a past member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Management Advisory Services (MAS) Engagement Quality Assurance Committee, a group that authored the MAS practice aid titled, “Developing a MAS Engagement Quality Control Program.”
