Experience
With more than 15 years of professional experience, John Ruckstuhl is a director with the national transaction support services practice. Working in the New York office, his transaction services experience includes:

• Financial and operational due diligence for private equity and strategic acquirers
• Financial analysis for debt restructuring
• Reverse due diligence including quality of earnings assessment and preparation for sale
• Financial projections and cash flow modeling for domestic and foreign companies
• Annual and strategic business planning
• Evaluation of internal control structures
• Profitability enhancements
• Business process reviews

Prior to joining the firm, Ruckstuhl worked as a controller for a global private financial services company. He was responsible for financial operations, treasury management, financial reporting and compliance. He also analyzed several strategic acquisition targets and coordinated due diligence. 

Performing financial due diligence and audit services, Ruckstuhl has also worked with the Big Four accounting firms Ernst & Young and KPMG. During his six-year tenure with Ernst & Young’s transaction advisory services group, Ruckstuhl performed transaction support services with numerous private equity funds, as well as strategic buyers acquiring and divesting portfolio companies and divisions. He worked on transactions with deal sizes ranging from $5 million to $2 billion. As an audit senior manager at KPMG, Ruckstuhl managed public and private audit engagements in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, retail, distribution and financial services.
