Experience
Dana Williams is a managing director with the national transaction support services practice in the Great Lakes region. He specializes in manufacturing and distribution, although has had extensive experience in other industries. Williams provides assistance to private equity groups, strategic buyers and clients with mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence on potential acquisition candidates and reverse due diligence. He has countered the results of due diligence findings of potential suitors, securing additional consideration to the sellers.

Williams has extensive experience with the auditing, tax, accounting and reporting needs of manufacturers from his years in the audit practice with the firm. He has participated in several fraud investigations related to misappropriation of assets and helped clients with inventory cost issues, including overhead rate scenarios, inventory costing and inventory cost flows.

Prior to joining the firm, Williams worked for four years in the audit department of KPMG. He also had eight years of experience managing a closely-held business before his public accounting career.
