Wayne Lerner, CEO and President of Chicago’s Holy Cross Hospital, recently spoke at RSM McGladrey’s 2007 Hospital and Health System Executive Forum along with other industry leaders on critical issues facing hospitals today.  Lerner provided his perspective on the role of state and public policy in shaping an organization’s performance as an advocate for the community.  He discussed how they address the policy process, issues encountered and lesson learned along the way.  Topics covered include diversity, the uninsured, space limitations, transportation and demographics.
