In the new value chain, small and medium manufacturers are more than just suppliers to upstream producers. They are integral partners in creating new technologies, products, services and business models.

Engaging in value chains can open up new markets and new profit opportunities for your small or medium manufacturing enterprise. To learn more, we invite you to attend an informative webcast: Forging New Partnerships: How to Thrive in Today’s Global Value Chain.

This one-hour presentation is based on the newly released report of the same name, co-authored by the National Association of Manufacturers, The Manufacturing Institute and RSM McGladrey. Complemented by case histories and testimonials, this webcast promises to educate and prompt action.

Attendees will learn how:

  • Small and medium manufacturers are seeking partners at every stage of the global supply chain – from research and development through shipping – to capitalize on new growth opportunities
  • By connecting with outside resources – customers, government and academia – small and medium manufacturers can expand core competencies and gain economies of scale
  • Forward-looking small and medium manufacturers are taking advantage of economic changes nationally and internationally to become critical players in the supply chain
  • Small and medium manufacturers can position themselves in more expansive value chains to succeed in today’s global marketplace

Your presenters:

Bill Canis is the Acting President of The Manufacturing Institute, the research, education and workforce arm of the National Association of Manufacturers and was appointed to this position by NAM president John Engler in April 2007.  The mission of the Institute is to strengthen the manufacturing economy by increasing the knowledge and respect for our industry and by creating and implementing human capital strategies.

Tom Murphy is the executive vice president of manufacturing and wholesale distribution at RSM McGladrey. He oversees RSM McGladrey’s manufacturing and wholesale distribution practice, the organization’s largest industry practice. As an industry practice leader, Tom ensures delivery of high-quality service offerings that respond to the changing needs of midsized manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors.

There is no cost to attend and all webcast attendees receive a complimentary copy of Forging New Partnerships: How to Thrive in Today’s Global Value Chain.
