The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) held its 2007 convention with silver sponsorship support from RSM McGladrey. And one lucky attendee was the recipient of a $3,000 scholarship award from RSM McGladrey. 

Antonio Magallanez from the University of Oklahoma is the scholarship recipient. He attended the convention’s scholarship luncheon where he met several employees from RSM McGladrey’s Florida Economic Unit and other locations who attended the five-day event. Director Brett Friedman and Associate Valerie Colimon both serve on the board of ALPFA’s Miami chapter.

RSM McGladrey was able to grant a scholarship as part of its silver sponsorship of the convention. As a silver sponsor of ALPFA’s 2008 convention in Phoenix, Ariz., the firm will have the chance to grant another scholarship to a deserving Latino student in August.
