RSM McGladrey was a Corporate Partner sponsor at the 35thannual National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) convention this summer in Hollywood, Fla. Nine representatives from RSM McGladrey participated in the recruitment expo and more attended the conference.

RSM McGladrey interviewed, referred and hopes to hire a number of candidates stemming from the convention. Wendy Terry, audit director-partner Florida,taught a CPE session, “Audit Issues of Retirement Plans,” which was attended by more than 200 enthusiastic NABA members. Not only was this an excellent chance for members to network and take advantage of a variety of sessions, but the convention gave the firm an opportunity to get its name out in the NABA community. 

NABA represents almost15,000 professional and student members in the fields of accounting,finance, business consulting and information technology. With 146 student chapters, RSM McGladrey gained access to high potential students at many of the universities where the firm actively recruits. The 54professional chapters of NABA presented a unique opportunity for RSM McGladrey employees to network and enhancetheir leadership skills in a peer-based environment.
