Chris DiMarco
Since turning pro in 1990,
this native of Huntington, New York, has distinguished himself as one
of the toughest competitors in the world today. Chris has won seven tournaments
as a professional, including three on the PGA Tour, and currently is working
his way back from a shoulder injury sustained late in 2007.
Chris holds the record for
the lowest 36-hole and 54-hole score for a Masters rookie. His runner-up finish
in the 2005 Masters, following a playoff against Tiger Woods, and his
second-place finish 2006 British Open cemented his status as one of the game’s
top players.
As a family man with three children, Chris turned the energy and integrity that have made him a great golfer towards making the world a better place. He hosts his own golf tournament at his local course in Heathrow, Florida – the Norma DiMarco Tee Up For Life Golf Tournament – which is held annually in aid of R.O.C.K. (Reaching Out to Cancer Kids) and features celebrities and amateurs. He has also participated in the “Strokes Against Stroke” program.
Florida, Chris’ home since he was a boy, is where he helped lead the University of Florida golf team to the 1989 Southeastern Conference Championship. Chris, a self proclaimed Florida Gator, once drove a blue and orange van (school colors) and has his Ping clubs painted in that the same orange and blue.
“RSM McGladrey is the tax and accounting firm for midsized companies,” says Chris DiMarco. “I am extremely proud to join Team RSM McGladrey and to work with Zach and Natalie to help raise awareness for the brand.”
